MSC announced the launch of a new independent route—Iroko—which will officially connect China, Singapore, and Congo, Nigeria, Benin, and Angola starting September 10.
The order of calls for this new route is:
Ningbo–Nansha–Singapore–Noire–Cotonou–Lagos–One–Lobito–Singapore–Xiamen
The core advantages of Iroco Services include:
• Significantly shortened transit times via the Port of Noire to Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Namibia
• Added direct flights between Lagos and One Port to support growth in the Nigerian market
• Strengthen direct Cotonou connections to improve service efficiency in the Benin region
• Dedicated export freight channel from China to Lobito
