MSC recently announced major upgrades to its Dragon and Jade routes, aiming to improve transport timeliness and network connectivity from Asia to the Mediterranean region.

It is reported that the Dragon route will add the port of Trieste in Italy as a direct port of call. This move will shorten transit times by five days compared to current routes and provide smoother transit routes for ports such as Koper, Rijeka, Venice, Ravenna, and Ancona.

The Jade route will also be optimized, adding the Port of Foss in France as a direct port of call. This adjustment is expected to reduce the route by seven days of transit time.

The inaugural vessel on the upgraded Dragon route was the "MSC Thais," with voyage FD608W. The ship is expected to arrive in Busan on February 18, with the route sequence as follows:

Busan–Ningbo–Shanghai–Nansha–Yantian–Singapore–Trieste–Gioia Tauro–Genoa–La Spezia–Sines–New York–Boston–Norfolk–Charleston–Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas–Busan.
