Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) recently announced that, as a key part of its newly launched network of independent east-west routes, the company will innovatively upgrade its two major transatlantic routes. This initiative reflects MSC's commitment to providing customers with competitive shipping times and offering a wide range of direct port options.
It is reported that through a series of optimization measures, MSC's MEDUSC route will achieve an industry-leading journey from Genoa to New York in just 9 days. Specific adjustments include:
Cancellation of calls on the MEDUSC route in Barcelona and the Port of Siniche
Adjusted Barcelona to the EMUSA route call
The Port of Sinish will maintain its connection to the U.S. East Coast via the EMUSA route
Enhancing trade connectivity between the Tyrrhenian Sea islands (Sardinia and Sicily) and the U.S. East Coast through feeder services
With Italy's multimodal network, trade routes between inland regions and the U.S. East Coast will be further improved
